The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) is a forum which comprises capital market regulators from 10 ASEAN jurisdictions, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Established in 2004 under the auspices of the ASEAN Finance Ministers, the ACMF initially focused on harmonization of rules and regulations before shifting towards more strategic issues to achieve greater integration of the region’s capital markets under the AEC Blueprint 2015
The ACMF meets twice a year, and is currently chaired by Tan Sri Dato' Seri Ranjit Ajit Singh, Chairman, Securities Commission Malaysia.
Recent key achievements of the ACMF include the ASEAN capital market disclosure standards for cross-border offerings of securities (“ASEAN and Plus Standards Scheme”) and the ASEAN capital market integration plan (“Implementation Plan”) which was endorsed at the 13th ASEAN Finance Ministers Meeting in April 2009 in Pattaya, Thailand.
