About ACMF

The ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) is a forum which comprises capital market regulators from 10 ASEAN jurisdictions, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Established in 2004 under the auspices of the ASEAN Finance Ministers, the ACMF initially focused on harmonization of rules and regulations before shifting towards more strategic issues to achieve greater integration of the region’s capital markets under the AEC Blueprint 2025

The ACMF meets twice a year, and is currently chaired by Ms. Ruenvadee Suwanmongkol, Secretary – General of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.

Recent key achievements of the ACMF include the adoption of ASEAN Green, Social and Sustainability Bond Standards, the initiative to create the Roadmap for ASEAN Sustainable Capital Markets which was endorsed at the 23rd ASEAN Finance Ministers’ Meeting in April 2019 in Chiang Rai, Thailand, along with the launch of ACMF Pass and framework on cross-border publication of research reports and the establishment of Digital Asset Oversight Networking as well as the revised MoU on Streamlined Review Framework for ASEAN Common Prospectus to cover issuances of plain debt securities under debt issuance program.
